EU H2020 MSCA ETN PETER kicked off at Barco, Kortrijk, on February 04-05 2020.
On Tuesday February 4, the day started with a detailed introduction regarding the practical arrangements on the PETER project management. This was followed by the Early Stage Researchers’ (ESR) pitch presentations on their background, project and host institute.

After a tasty lunch, the afternoon consisted of dedicated training for both ESRs and the supervisors. The ESRs followed a soft-skill training on Ethics, Integrity, Open Access and Open Science, while the supervisors followed a training on The Supervisor: Role & Responsibilities.

The day concluded with a guest lecture given by Keith Armstrong and an exquisite project dinner.
Wednesday February 5, started with 4 parallel sessions regarding the 4 scientific work packages to discuss and clarify technical aspects and practicalities. A Secondments Café was the perfect conclusion of this Kick-Off Event, where the ESRs could meet the representatives of the secondment hosting institutions in order to discuss the specific arrangements regarding their upcoming secondments.
The second day of the PETER Kick-Off Event was capped by the Barco Experience-, Factory- and Lab tours, providing insight in the Barco products and culture.
