Oskari Leppäaho is an Early Stage Researcher under the EMC Innovation Team at Valeo Group Electronics Expertise and Development Services. As part of the ETN – PETER ESR8, he will carry out research on electromagnetic immunity characterization of shielded cable assemblies and equipment ground connections under environmental effects like thermal degradation and material aging. His objectives are: 1. Develop methodologies for (a) testing cable shielding and (b) equipment ground connection effectiveness during thermal and vibrational stresses. 2. Apply the developed methodologies for structured system level environmental risk assessment on electromagnetic compatibility of automotive systems.
He accomplished his Master’s Degree in Electromagnetism at the Tampere University of Technology in Finland, 2015. Before joining the PETER project, he spent several years serving the industry on the fields of electromagnetic compatibility and electronics system design.
